LONDON ACADEMY HELPS STUDENTS GET FIT FOR EMPLOYMENT

Fitness job market in good health

Premier Training International is inviting school leavers and people looking for a career change to visit an Open Day at its London flagship academy (opposite Finsbury Park tube station) on Tuesday 27 July to find out about opportunities in the fitness industry.

The Open Day will give people the chance to meet with Careers Advisors to discuss the careers and qualifications available. They will also have a chance to take a look at the facilities available at the centre.

Matt Brown, Fitness Trainer, Premier Training International, said, “We’re looking forward to meeting people from London who are interested in careers in the health and fitness industry, no matter their level of experience. Our advisers and staff will be on hand to take them through the career options, courses and facilities available. With the recent figures on how competitive the job market is, it’s refreshing to see an industry where the demand for staff outweighs the supply – so much so that we guarantee our graduates interviews for jobs with the major health club network.”

The rise in unemployment and increased competitiveness amongst graduates is a worry for most people yet Premier Training International has seen a 48% rise in applicants for health and fitness qualifications as the sector’s labour market continues to hold firm and expand.

The health and fitness sector is now worth £3.77billion and many graduates and people made redundant are finding work in the sector – and with it, a more flexible and better quality of life.

Premier’s new flagship academy was opened by Norman Basson, founder of Premier Training International and the Mayor of Islington on 9 June 2010.
